Hedgeye Risk Management is seeking a driven and innovative Analyst with a data science focus to join our Healthcare Research team. This role integrates advanced data analysis with financial research, empowering actionable insights for our clients. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of relevant experience, a passion for financial markets, and a strong aptitude for leveraging data-driven methods to enhance research quality.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Gather, assess, and analyze corporate financial statements, earnings releases, and other relevant data integral to generating investment themes and individual stock ideas
  • Leverage Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for data collection, processing, and analysis
  • Help create and manage financial models, incorporating advanced analytics as needed
  • Help build and maintain client communications though published notes, presentations, and individual outreach
  • Leverage Plotly Dash and other visualization tools to present complex data in interactive, user-friendly formats for internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to Hedgeye's digital media platforms, including web, mobile, video, and audio, to communicate insights to a broader audience
  • Think creatively, design innovative solutions, enhance processes, and explore new approaches to data-driven research
ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • 1-2 years in a data-driven role, preferably within financial services or research
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation, with knowledge of GCP suite of tools
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience with a strong interest in stocks, financial markets, and investing
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and research findings
  • Proven ability to build and deploy interactive dashboards and analytical tools
  • Curious, creative, and diligent
WHAT WE OFFER:
  • Annual Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus
