Hedgeye Risk Management is seeking an outstanding Equity Research Analyst to join our Software Research Team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of a high-impact franchise.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Gather, review, and analyze corporate financial statements, earnings releases, industry news, and other relevant data
Maintain and update internal databases with high attention to detail
Build detailed PowerPoint presentations for research reports, client calls, and speaking engagements
Manage internal processes and schedules; communicate regularly with sales and clients
Collaborate with operations and data science teams on cross-functional initiatives
Write timely, high-impact research notes and maintain existing coverage
Participate in industry events, earnings calls, and other relevant forums
Support and manage third-party data providers; help evaluate and onboard new data sources
Perform extensive financial modeling, including designing and building new models as needed
Create content for Hedgeye’s digital platforms, including web, video, mobile, and audio
Proactively generate new ideas, challenge consensus, and share insights both internally and externally
ABOUT YOU:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
2–5 years of experience in a financial or investment-related role
CFA candidate preferred, but not required
Experience in the software research sector preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data—sourcing, structuring, analyzing, and interpreting it to drive better decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize complex information quickly and clearly
Strong executive functioning: memory, flexibility, and self-direction
High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and a desire for continuous improvement
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., vlookup, pivot tables, index/match, arrays, etc.); comfortable working with large, complex financial models
Ability to extract key insights from data and translate them into effective visualizations
Solid understanding of accounting principles, valuation methodologies, business models, and industry dynamics
Working knowledge of statistics/econometrics (e.g., regression analysis, standard deviation, probabilities)
- Familiarity with SQL (Workbench), Python (including APIs/libraries), R, or Jupyter Notebook
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Annual Salary: $85,000 - $125,000
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus
